ASCAP Experience

ASCAP’S “On the Come Up” Showcase Series Returns

The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) will bring its successful “On The Come Up Showcase Series” to Los Angeles, New York, and Atlanta for the second year. “On The Come Up” began on the web and now comes to life on stage with exclusive and intimate performances from some of ASCAP’s urban artists on the rise.

The series features ASCAP members who are experiencing their first taste of chart success and serves as inspiration that success is only one song away. Over the past few years, ASCAP “On the Come Up” has identified industry’s songwriters including Miguel, DeJ Loaf, Fetty Wap, Tasha Cobbs, Mike Will, Eric Bellinger and Jonathan McReynolds.

Last year’s live showcase featured Kanye West-collaborator Allan Kingdom, who was featured on West’s 2015 hit ‘All Day;’ Young Greatness, one of Rolling Stone’s 2016 “10 New Artists You Need to Know;” and the singing/songwriting prodigy PJ who wrote for artists like Wiz Khalifa, Chris Brown and Usher before dropping her own album last year.
